Job Brief

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our organization. The ideal candidate will compute, classify, and record numerical data while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in bookkeeping software and a strong understanding of financial principles. The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in monitoring transactions, verifying accuracy, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and reconciliation of financial statements.
  • Compute, classify, and record numerical data to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Verify accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings related to business transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support for financial inquiries.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Maintain organized records of financial documents and transactions.
  • Collaborate with accountants and other financial professionals to ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
