Job Brief
The Barge Master is responsible for commanding and supervising the operations of various water vessels, including tugboats and ferryboats. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all operations of assigned vessels, ensuring efficient and safe navigation.
- Conduct pre-voyage inspections and ensure compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
- Supervise crew members, providing training and guidance to maintain high performance levels.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Coordinate with port authorities and other maritime agencies for docking and logistics.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust operational plans accordingly to ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate records of vessel operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring crew and passenger safety at all times.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid U.S. Coast Guard license for operating vessels.
