Job Brief
The Audio Visual Production Specialist is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and dismantling of audio and video equipment for live and recorded events, including concerts, meetings, and conferences. This role requires a strong technical background in audio and video technologies, along with excellent problem-solving skills. Successful candidates will have experience operating sound systems, video cameras, and mixing boards, ensuring high-quality audio and visual experiences.
Responsibilities
- Set up and configure audio and video equipment for various events, ensuring optimal performance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment during events to prevent disruptions.
- Dismantle and safely store equipment post-event.
- Collaborate with event organizers to understand technical requirements and provide solutions.
- Assist in the design and execution of audio and visual production for live broadcasts and recordings.
- Monitor audio and video quality during events to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Train and guide team members on the proper use of audio and visual equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Audio Visual Production Specialist or similar role in the audiovisual industry.
- Strong knowledge of audio and video equipment, including microphones, speakers, cameras, and mixing boards.
- Proficiency in audio and video software and technologies for editing and production.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications in audio and video technology (e.g., CTS, AVIXA) preferred.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
