Job Brief
As an ATV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling various types of motorized vehicles including all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, and dirt bikes. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, along with knowledge of industry standards, is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on ATVs and similar motorized vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Overhaul and rebuild engines, transmissions, and other critical components.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to assess vehicle conditions and identify issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed.
- Communicate with customers to explain repair needs and provide cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in ATV technology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive technology preferred.
- Proven experience as an ATV Technician or similar role in the motorized vehicle industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment specific to ATV repair.
- ASE certification or equivalent credentials are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.
- Valid driver’s license; additional certifications for specialized vehicles are advantageous.
