Job Brief
The Assistant Innkeeper plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences at hotels, motels, and resorts. This position involves registering and assigning rooms, managing reservations, and overseeing guest accounts. Responsibilities
- Register and assign rooms to guests, ensuring accurate room assignments.
- Issue room keys or cards while providing guests with essential information about the property.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including messages and reservations.
- Maintain up-to-date records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts to ensure seamless operations.
- Make and confirm reservations while accommodating special requests from guests.
- Present statements and collect payments from departing guests, ensuring accuracy in billing.
- Assist in managing daily operations and address guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction and property upkeep.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Proficient in hotel management software and reservation systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest relations.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic accounting skills for managing guest accounts and transactions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
