Job Brief

As an Assistant Corporation Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in representing clients in both criminal and civil litigation, as well as managing various legal transactions. Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in criminal and civil litigation, ensuring adherence to legal processes and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of legal transactions and compliance issues.
  • Conduct research and analysis of legal issues to formulate strategies and provide informed recommendations.
  • Manage case files, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely submission of legal documents.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials, presenting evidence and arguments effectively.
  • Collaborate with external counsel and stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive legal support.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the state bar association.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in litigation and legal advisory roles.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software, with strong drafting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with corporate law and regulatory compliance is a plus.
