Job Brief
The Assembly Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production and operating workers, including inspectors, machine setters, operators, assemblers, and fabricators. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the assembly line, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Coordinate the activities of production staff to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Conduct training and development sessions for assembly line personnel to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with management to forecast production needs and allocate resources effectively.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and employee performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assembly Line Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments.
- Ability to analyze performance data and implement improvement strategies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in management or manufacturing are preferred.
