Job Brief
As an Arch Cushion Press Operator, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process of footwear by operating various machines to join, decorate, reinforce, and finish shoes and shoe parts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of production processes, machine operation, and quality control. You will ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor arch cushion press machines to fabricate and assemble shoe components.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, adhering to company specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline production processes and enhance workflow.
- Document production data, including machine settings and output quantities, for reporting purposes.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
- Assist in training new operators on machine operation and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferably in footwear production.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in footwear manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
