As an Airset Molder, you will play a crucial role in the foundry process by fabricating high-quality wax or sand cores and molds essential for producing metal castings. Responsibilities
- Fabricate wax and sand molds and cores for metal casting applications, ensuring precision and quality.
- Utilize hand tools and molding equipment to shape and form molds according to specifications.
- Inspect and evaluate molds for defects, making necessary adjustments to meet production standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure mold designs align with project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Document production processes and maintain records of mold specifications and modifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold production and quality control.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mold-making or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in mold-making, preferably in a foundry or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of molding materials and processes, including wax and sand core production.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using hand tools and molding equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
