The Airport Ramp Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with aviation safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate ground crew activities to ensure timely and accurate aircraft servicing.
  • Direct the loading and unloading of cargo and baggage, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.
  • Calculate the quantity and orientation of cargo to maintain proper aircraft balance and center of gravity.
  • Monitor ramp operations to adhere to safety standards, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Provide training and guidance to ground crew members on safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Collaborate with airline staff and other departments to optimize ramp operations and address any issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ramp equipment and facilities to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist passengers with safety briefings and emergency procedures as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant aviation certifications preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in airport ramp operations or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft loading principles and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse teams and passengers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in using ramp management software and equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain necessary security clearances.
