Job Brief
The Aircraft Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of aircraft, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards for the safe transport of passengers and cargo. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft structures, systems, and components to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards.
- Identify and document any discrepancies or safety hazards found during inspections.
- Review maintenance records and ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address and resolve any identified issues promptly.
- Perform routine audits of aircraft maintenance practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Prepare and submit inspection reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Stay updated on changes in aviation regulations, inspection techniques, and safety standards.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and maintenance personnel on best practices for aircraft safety and inspection.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance or related field preferred.
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft inspection or aviation maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and safety standards applicable to aircraft operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment, as well as computer software for reporting and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
