Job Brief
The Afloat Cryptologic Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of tactical operations specialists within a maritime environment. This role involves overseeing cryptologic operations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members, and managing operational readiness. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cryptology, exceptional leadership skills, and proficiency in advanced intelligence systems.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor tactical operations specialists to enhance team performance and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate cryptologic operations to ensure the effective collection, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence data.
- Oversee the implementation of cryptologic methodologies and technical procedures in line with operational requirements.
- Conduct training sessions and drills to prepare team members for various cryptologic scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with relevant military and national security policies regarding cryptologic operations.
- Analyze and report on cryptologic trends, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with other tactical teams to support joint operations and enhance intelligence sharing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and methodologies in cryptology and intelligence analysis.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptologic operations or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in a military or intelligence environment.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and intelligence gathering techniques.
- Familiarity with advanced cryptologic systems and software applications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications in cryptology or intelligence analysis are preferred.
