Job Brief
As an Aerial Sprayer, you will pilot and navigate fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters to conduct essential agricultural spraying operations. The ideal candidate will possess a Commercial Pilot certificate and have experience in nonscheduled air carrier routes. This role requires excellent flying skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate aircraft safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal application of pesticides and fertilizers across various terrains.
Responsibilities
- Pilot and navigate fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters for agricultural spraying operations
- Conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure aircraft safety and compliance with regulations
- Operate spraying equipment to apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers accurately
- Plan flight paths and adjust routes based on weather conditions and field requirements
- Maintain accurate records of flight operations, including fuel usage and application rates
- Collaborate with agricultural specialists to determine optimal spraying schedules and techniques
- Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment
- Monitor and assess equipment performance and conduct minor maintenance as needed
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Pilot certificate with appropriate ratings for fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters
- Proven flight experience in agricultural aviation or similar aerial operations
- Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and agricultural spraying practices
- Ability to operate advanced navigation and communication equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with ground teams and clients
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
