Job Brief
As a Welding Robot Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled welding equipment and robots to fabricate and assemble metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor robotic welding systems to perform welding tasks on various materials including metals, plastics, and composites.
- Set up and calibrate equipment according to specifications to ensure optimal performance and quality of welds.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding machines to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding procedures to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Monitor welding processes, adjust parameters, and maintain records of production activities and quality inspections.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve welding processes and enhance product quality.
- Train and mentor junior operators on welding techniques and equipment operations as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or robotics preferred.
- Proven experience as a Welding Robot Operator or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of robotic welding technology and its applications.
- Familiarity with welding standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining robotic welding equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
