Job Brief
The Advanced Tomahawk Weapon Control System (ATWCS) AN/SWG-4 Operator and Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in targeting, firing, and maintaining advanced weaponry systems used to neutralize enemy positions, aircraft, and maritime threats. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Advanced Tomahawk Weapon Control System (ATWCS) AN/SWG-4, ensuring accurate targeting and firing capabilities.
- Conduct preventive and routine maintenance on weapon systems and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Test and inspect ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes for quality assurance and safe storage procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective communication systems, including radio and wire communications, to support operational missions.
- Utilize weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to execute precise military operations.
- Collaborate with team members to assess mission requirements and strategize effective weapon deployment.
- Document all maintenance activities and operational incidents for compliance and review purposes.
- Participate in training exercises and simulations to enhance tactical proficiency and familiarity with advanced weapon systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining advanced weapon systems, particularly the ATWCS AN/SWG-4.
- Strong understanding of military weaponry, including artillery, missiles, and torpedoes.
- Familiarity with military communication systems and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stakes environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Willingness to participate in continual training and skill development initiatives.
- Security clearance may be required based on operational needs.
