Job Brief
As a Triage Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will provide essential nursing care to patients who are ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled. This position requires a strong foundation in patient assessment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. A valid nursing license or registration is mandatory for this role, which may also involve advising patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine health status and care needs.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient evaluations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Administer nursing care and medications to patients in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Advise patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed based on clinical outcomes.
- Provide case management support and coordinate follow-up care for patients.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or registration.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in a clinical nursing setting, preferably in triage or emergency care.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation.
- Knowledge of nursing best practices, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
- CPR and BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
