The Tool Crib Attendant plays a crucial role in managing the inventory of tools and equipment within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Responsibilities
- Verify and record incoming merchandise and materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking tool usage and availability.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.
- Coordinate transportation logistics for outgoing products to ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Assist in the organization and arrangement of tools and supplies within the tool crib for efficient access.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill tool requests and manage tool allocation effectively.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, as required by inventory tasks.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
