Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced Swager Operator to set up, operate, and maintain forging machines that taper, shape, or form metal or plastic parts. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate swaging machines to produce precision metal or plastic components.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on swaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Adjust machine settings based on production needs and material specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of machine operations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve manufacturing processes and efficiencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Swager Operator or in a similar metalworking role.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, including swaging, forging, and forming.
- Familiarity with various metal and plastic materials and their properties.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
