Job Brief
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and procurement specialists involved in the acquisition of materials, products, and services. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of high-quality goods and services.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing structures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align sourcing activities with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and best practices in sourcing operations.
- Provide guidance and training to purchasing staff on sourcing methodologies and tools.
- Collaborate with finance to develop budgets and track expenditures related to procurement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sourcing Manager or in a similar procurement role.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
- Knowledge of market trends and supply chain dynamics.
- Certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferred.
