Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Silk Screen Printer with expertise in setting up and operating a variety of printing machines, including digital, letterpress, lithographic, flexographic, and gravure presses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality printed materials. This role requires hands-on experience in short-run offset printing, along with a solid understanding of color matching, ink types, and printing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate silk screen printing machines to produce accurate and high-quality prints.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare screens, inks, and substrates for printing processes, ensuring all materials meet job specifications.
- Monitor print quality during production runs and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired results.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to fulfill client specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, job orders, and material usage.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in printing technologies and techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Silk Screen Printer or in a similar printing role.
- Strong knowledge of various printing techniques and equipment operations.
- Familiarity with color theory, ink types, and substrates used in silk screen printing.
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills for operating digital printing machines and software.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in printing technology are a plus.
