Job Brief
As a Shingles Roofer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofing systems using various materials including shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, and wood. This role requires proven experience in roofing techniques and a strong understanding of safety protocols. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using shingles, slate, asphalt, and other materials.
- Inspect roofs for damage or leaks, providing appropriate solutions and recommendations for repairs.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and sealing to ensure proper adhesion of roofing materials.
- Apply waterproofing and insulating materials to roofs and siding as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all roofing projects.
- Collaborate with team members to complete roofing projects efficiently and within deadlines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding roofing services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Roofer, with a focus on shingles and related materials.
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, installation techniques, and repair methods.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in roofing and construction.
- Ability to work at heights and operate various roofing tools and equipment.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
