Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and other events. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to assist students in boarding and exiting the bus. A background in transportation or experience working with children is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate a school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with students, parents, and school staff.
- Monitor student behavior while on the bus and address any issues that arise.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- Stay informed about school schedules, routes, and any changes in transportation policies.
- Complete all required documentation, including mileage logs and incident reports.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to school transportation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Experience working with children or in a school environment is preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons.
