Once you understand which number to call (the first two numbers listed on the website as their America Job Center location are out of service), and once you get through to a person on the phone, the people on the phone are helpful and patient despite there being internal glitches in the registration system (I was signed out for “inactivity” although I was clicking and typing on the pages the whole time; unable to log back on because the system somehow transferred incorrect personal data from some other DC agency info). I was told I had to go in person where Ms.Stone at the front desk was so sweet, helpful and patient. There were two other employees, one who helps at the computers and another who looks like a supervisor who are quick to get irritated by questions.Being unemployed is already a stressful situation, why some in person staff (especially during a non busy day) feel the need to have negative energy is beyond me.
