I told them I wanted my blue cross cancelled the end of November since I was starting medicare in December 2023. So they tell Blue cross to cancel my health insurance October 31 2023. I had two appointments in November 2023 which were not covered by BC because OPM told them I cancelled them. OPM sent me a letter saying my BC was cancelled on October 31 2023 to which I called them to correct it to Nov 30 2023. They said they would and sent me a letter to confirm blue cross would be cancelled November 30 2023 and I signed it and sent it back to OPM. Now my healthcare wants me to pay for 2 appointments in November 2023 totally $610 because BC told them i didn’t have any insurance that month because I cancelled which I didn’t. OPM told them I cancelled on October 30. OPM made this mistake and almost a year later haven’t corrected. I feel like I shouldn’t be responsible for $610 for a mistake OPM made and didn’t correct!!!! They cancelled my insurance in October when it should have been cancelled Nov 30.

Non-responsive. // Wrote to OPM Fraud office 6 months ago. No response. Called several times, every month or two. Still nothing. I can not use their website without additional assistance.

This company is literally a nightmare. I cannot believe they are allowed to manage retirement benefits. I have been a calling and leaving messages for roughly 6 weeks about a temporary continuum of coverage, I have sent in the paperwork twice now in two different ways. If people in this company worked for a public sector they would be without jobs related to poor performance. I would love if Melinda Reeves answered her phone after countless voicemails of trying to make progress. I am very frustrated and would recommend having another competent company handle your retirement benefits.
