Job Brief

As a Tuber Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to specialized machinery, including glass-forming machines, plodder machines, and tuber machines. Your primary focus will be on shaping and forming high-quality products such as glassware, food items, rubber, soap, and other materials. The ideal candidate should have experience in machine operation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate tuber machines and related equipment for optimal performance.
  • Operate machinery to produce various products, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor the production process, adjusting machinery settings as necessary to maintain efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and consistency, making adjustments to the process as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime.
  • Document production data and report any issues to management for resolution.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machine operation is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Familiarity with production processes and quality control standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
