Job Brief
As a Tuber Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to specialized machinery, including glass-forming machines, plodder machines, and tuber machines. Your primary focus will be on shaping and forming high-quality products such as glassware, food items, rubber, soap, and other materials. The ideal candidate should have experience in machine operation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate tuber machines and related equipment for optimal performance.
- Operate machinery to produce various products, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor the production process, adjusting machinery settings as necessary to maintain efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for quality and consistency, making adjustments to the process as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime.
- Document production data and report any issues to management for resolution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machine operation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machine operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Familiarity with production processes and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
