Job Brief
As a Topographical Surveyor, you will be responsible for making precise measurements to determine property boundaries and provide critical data related to the shape, contour, elevation, and location of land features. Responsibilities
- Conduct topographical surveys to gather data on land features and boundaries.
- Utilize surveying instruments and technology, including GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.
- Analyze and interpret survey data to create detailed maps and reports.
- Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to provide accurate survey information.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards during surveying activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation of survey findings.
- Assist in the development of project proposals and feasibility studies based on survey results.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding survey progress and findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Surveyor (PS) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in topographical surveying and land measurement techniques.
- Proficiency in surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various outdoor environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal surveying regulations and standards.
