Job Brief
The Time Study Technician plays a critical role in enhancing manufacturing efficiency through the application of engineering principles and time motion analysis. Responsibilities
- Conduct time and motion studies to analyze worker operations and establish standard production rates.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to industrial layouts and manufacturing processes.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
- Work closely with engineering staff to implement solutions based on study findings.
- Develop and maintain documentation of time study results and methodologies.
- Utilize statistical analysis tools to support findings and improve accuracy in reporting.
- Assist in training personnel on best practices for efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on time study outcomes for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting time studies and analyzing operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software and time study tools.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Certifications in industrial engineering or related fields are advantageous.
