Job Brief
The Terrazzo Installer is responsible for applying a mixture of cement, sand, pigment, and marble chips to create durable and decorative surfaces on floors, stairways, and cabinet fixtures. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong craftsmanship skills, and the ability to work with various materials to achieve aesthetic and functional outcomes. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper adhesion for terrazzo installation.
- Mix and apply cement, sand, pigment, and marble chips according to project specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools to shape and finish terrazzo surfaces.
- Ensure accurate measurements and alignments to achieve desired design outcomes.
- Inspect completed work for quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with general contractors and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to industry safety standards.
- Provide estimates and project timelines based on job specifications and requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Terrazzo Installer or similar role in the flooring industry.
- Strong knowledge of terrazzo materials, mixing ratios, and application techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in construction and flooring installation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform installation tasks effectively.
- Relevant certifications in flooring installation or construction preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other professionals on-site.
