I went to ER on March 3rd for severe abdominal pain that I thought was from a UTI. Dr. Wharton in the ER got me back and into CT right away and little did I know how sick I was with severe complex diverticulitis with perf and multiple abscesses. Dr Wharton was amazing and advised I’d be admitted (I thought I was going for antibiotics and pain relief) and the nurse who gave me Dilaudid when the Fentanyl wasn’t working was my hero! I was in for 16 days for pain management and antibiotics with an abundant number of different and amazing doctors, surgeons, RN’s, CNA’s and the awesome Stat team who had to come do new IV lines at least 8 or 9 times than I can remember but they too were fantastic. I can’t remember all of their names but here is a big shout out to Dr. O’Brien, Dr Huang, Dr Connor, Dr Dasari & Dr Wiebusch (thank you for not doing emergency surgery), RN’s McKenzie, Corey, Eden, Madison, Zoe, Rebecca, Lars, Alex, Aloera, Arneel and Nicole – I know I had other nurses but these are the names I remember! Love love loved all of my CNA’s but Amethyst really stood out and so happy she was with me in the beginning and again at the end of my stay. RD Nicollete was wonderful with not feeding me (just kidding), IV feeding me and getting me back to somewhat normal food. Chaplain Schultz did more for me than she realizes as well as great care from Chaplain Lamarche and I had a lovely walk with OT Erika. There are so many more people behind the scenes that were doing my labs, my CT, the IR and nurse who did my drain on the 16th and those who were taking and delivering my food orders when I could eat. I just can’t thank every single person enough who was involved in my care. And the Dr’s decision to switch rooms (Purple floor 2) from the ‘closet’ I was in to the ‘double/now single’ room on same floor towards the end was a big rainbow in my day which I think was on the 15th. This admission earned me a future surgery with Dr. Susan Whang who also works with Dr Dasari and Dr Wiebusch and she is just as fantastic as the other two! While I am not looking forward to surgery and being admitted again, I do look forward to the exceptional care I was given this time and hope I get repeat visits by all above 🙂

Hands down worst billing department ever experienced. A year ago, I was hit by a car while walking in a parking lot. At ER, gave all other party info to billing. Called 8 times over 2 months. They still erroneously billed my primary insurance despite asking for supervisors and that they had the correct info from day one. I tried to remove other party insurance from patient portal after accident resolved. It sits there a year later at “pending removal”. Was in a car accident last week. Immediately called billing 3 times to provide all info for auto insurance. Not only is the billing department asking me for claim information from the insurance I requested to have deleted, as it’s irrelevant, but that info is still there and making a colossal mess every time I go to a provider for regular health visits. I messaged billing rep Nathaniel in the portal. No response. I called billing for the fourth time. A manager, Suzette, promised to return my call and did not (shocking). They’re unmotivated, uncaring, and obviously happy to let their patients struggle. Bill Howe, that’s on you as you are CFO, so do something. This is all about money and profit for you, I’m sure, but there are HUMAN PATIENTS who suffer unnecessarily and lose hours of their lives and suffer from increased anxiety thanks to poor training, inept staff, and your leadership.

Great ER – very efficient, professional, and effective. Staff are kind, conversational, experienced. Facility is clean, organized, sophisticated. Rooms are comfortable, well equipped, spacious. Triage approach is excellent. 100% positive experience end to end.
