“Terrible Experience, Misrepresented for Job Placement as an Independent Contractor”
I was contacted by Rae Brand of Velossent about an open contract position with one of her clients. During the hiring process, I asked to revisit the rate/contract arrangement based on several factors. In the end, I was told that I would be withdrawn as a candidate from that job requirement.
Negotiation is extremely common in business and can extend past mere rate.
Velossent seems very inexperienced when it comes to handling rate discussions and job placement of senior level candidates such as myself.
It was bad business and waste of my time, gas, and energy. I strongly advise consultants to connect with staffing companies outside of Velossent for job placement.
