Nothing is safe with this outfit, and I would advise against doing business with them, on any level. On 1 simple request for a check, I was asked 4 times for the same information that I provided 3 times. After waiting on hold and working to get someone to help, it turns out they had everything the first time i replied to the request. The next envelope from them them is NOT the doggone check! Its a request for an different form. Company does a bad job receiving and recording their own completed forms. Why they insist on paper in the first place baffles me. They do a bad job of providing customer service. Having a manager work your case means nothing. Once they have your money, it’s an epic saga to get it from them. We’re 5 months in, I’ll update if I ever get a check. Buyer be warned.

Scam. My grandparents had an account with them. I called to file a claim after they passed away. Was told to wait five days and call back after the claim was processed. When I called them back, they put me on hold for 20 minutes Then call hung up and now it appears They have blocked my number. Scam Scam Scam. Contacting a lawyer.

Is very very difficult to get your money out of Valic. They lie and lie saying they didn’t receive forms that were faxed and emailed repeatedly. They’ll put a hold on your account. You can’t talk to anyone that will give you any service to get your money out. It can take months to years to move your money.
