Have gone here multiple times for unemployment benefit issues and job searches. Staff is professional and friendly and have always gotten me the information I’ve needed.

Update 2: I was turned down by the employer who warned me about Michigan works without a reason given. I know that the rules set forth by the employer weren’t followed by this location. I’m left wondering if I was disqualified because of their handling of my file. That should never be the case. U.p. Michigan works is a disaster I never wanted to begin with. L.p. still shines like a star, I wonder how they can be so different. Update: I get everything I ask for from the Michigan works in the L.P. without a single issue but the U.P. continuously claims I refuse help or can’t articulate what I need which is documented to be untrue. I have multiple unanswered questions and direct “we have nothing for you” statements. Be very careful trusting yourself to these people. This location has poor attitudes and is useless for anyone already capable of creating a resume. I was sent here by an employer to do testing and was warned by the employer to double check their work because they mess up all the time costing people the job. And they did mess up a lot. I can go on and on about the issues here. I strongly recommend an audit of capabilities, knowledge and customer service. There appears to be no resources provided by this location outside of creating a profile and resume. I cannot stress enough how poor the attitude is for people claiming to help you succeed. Other locations do far more in simply answering questions and providing resources.
