On June 10 I along with friends and classmates took part in the volunteer in the world project and left for London where we lived for 10 days in host families. During these days those who were over 16 volunteered in charity shops while those who were under 16 did various activities always related to volunteering around London. Martina and I loved all the activities but we especially loved doing the interviews in the charity shops and going to help at Saint Catholic school primary school. We would recommend this project to everyone both those over 16 and those under 16. Also spending 10 days in a foreign country helps to raise the level of the language that you speak in that country and you also discover another culture. London is not the only possible destination so even those who for example speak Spanish can choose to take part in this project.

We did a volunteer experience for ten days in London with some of our Italian classmates. We met guys from Modena and Milan. We improved our skills in talking to people and speaking in English. During the week, we visited lots of places in London and in the outskirts in full autonomy. Our coordinator was excellent, she did her role perfectly. We highly recommend this experience.

Two weeks in London, volunteering in a charity shop! Really an amazing experience. This is a perfect way to learn what does it mean become an adult, making new experiences: how is working, organizing your activities and your timetable, commuting from your hosting family to the working place, meeting new friends, etc. This is not the usual study vacation, but a real opportunity to improve not only your language skills, but yourself as a whole. I strongly suggest Volunteer in the World! I love them. Thank you to the staff…really really a great summer with you.
