I had a transplant at Research this past April – I’m very happy with their medical care across the board , from the surgeon to the transplant nephrologists & APRN’s/RN’s. My recent experience at the front desk was extremely concerning and embarrassing. Gayla, the receptionist, was rude, condescending and unprofessional. She does not have the training, compassion or ability to interact with patients who expect a welcoming and professional environment when they are experiencing chronic illnesses such as kidney disease/post transplant care. She should not work in any environment where she interacts with patients as her attitude s contrary to HCA’s mission of quality and compassionate care. Loud boisterous insults hurled into the waiting room at myself as well as shouting HIPPA protected information loudly is unprofessional. As a medical professional myself, I would not put up with this behavior in my office – I hope administration sees fit to deal with her behavior in an appropriate manner.

We have had the best care & treatment with this team. My husband is a kidney transplant patient.
The nurses on the transplant floor were Amazing!! Rhianna was so caring, as if we were her only patient, such an amazing nurse.
