July 2023.
Had to come in for my appointment early , needing to transport my mother to medical appointments.
The lady that dealt with my appointment was either challenged to a degree or too stoned to be working.
I filled out my job chart for the month with my necessary amount there. No she did not ask for this although it was due.
She was incoherent and unable to follow a direct conversation with the inability to understand what I was saying. Repeatedly.
Wanting to see someone for my resume to be looked over, she did not understand the term “unavailable” on a particular day, and it was quite hard to talk to her as nicely as I was.
She stated if I did not make the appointment that day for my resume (next week mind you) my payments would be suspended.
So I refused the appointment, clearly and coherently.
(But I do not understand why my payment would be suspended if I missed this. No explanation was given as to why although I asked)
My payment has now been suspended with no obvious explanation or reasoning, today after I had just been in there.. today.
-I showed up to my regular appointment, but early.
-Filled my job chart out, meeting the requirements.
-showed clear interest in looking for jobs and wanting to better my resume.
No letter was received from MyGov or Centrelink stating that my payment was suspended and for what reasoning.
This is unacceptable.
This is how I currently put food on the table, not just for me but for other people too.
Working in ties with a government organisation you would expect coherency, understanding and the ability to communicate to people, no matter their abilities.
Drug testing, i understand medical reasoning and showing proof of this but medical pot, if to be smoked at work should not affect your ability to do your job, that you are paid to do.
You are there to help people get jobs, learn to drive and gain an education that they deserve, why do this at another persons expense.
Best wishes,
Kaytren.
