I worked with Brent a few years ago. Whether it takes 1 week, 2 months or 7 months, he’ll get you a job eventually if you follow his instructions. It’s up to you to work hard to implement the methods he teaches. In my opinion, the biggest value in working with him is the important career/life skills (or “hacks” if you will) you will learn from Brent along the way. Looking back, I’ve learnt so much about networking, writing, and communication, that benefitted HUGELY in all areas of my life. I have literally met (and now know) thousands of people working in DC–many of whom are very senior in government–since I met Brent. Before Brent, I knew no one as I had just moved to the city for the first time. Frankly, I didn’t know how to make these connections. I don’t know what TOTH charges now, but in my opinion, the value of working with him is worth at least thousands of dollars. There are many “little” things (like how to do cover letters and resumes well, how to market yourself, etc.) that you will learn. Those tips may not seem immediately beneficial, but they are.

I want to say thank you to Brent and Time On The Hill who offers tangible assistance in landing a position on Capitol Hill. I feel I was lucky to find his organization, after looking long and hard. When I approached Time On The Hill I was not used to being poor and didn’t want to join the ranks of the permanently unemployed, which are already swollen with people my age and race. I don’t know how to overstate the best feature of his organization, that sets them apart: simply put, Time On The Hill makes promises and keeps them. Thanks to their emphasis on real world solutions for underemployed and unbanked individuals, I feel I am in the proccess of regaining my confidence in the future and reconstituted my vision in public service.

I was job hunting on the Hill and submitted my resume to this website. I actually received a call from Time on the Hill staff, telling me they were impressed with my credentials, wanted to meet with me and set me up with interviews with Hill staff, which sounded great. I get a call back 10 minutes later saying I first had to sign up for their subscription, and I figured that’s fair if they’re taking time to meet with me. I sign up, send multiple follow up emails to set up a time to meet and never heard back. 100% a scam and waste of time/money.
