I had some issues when swapping from Eon next to a different provider but that is to be expected. These issues were sorted around October/November last year, with agreement that all my outstanding bills were settled and my account would be closed. Fast forward to January I receive another bill from Eon stating it’s my “final bill” and shows £0 outstanding. I email again, and receive reassurance that was my final bill and my account will be closed. Fast forward to a couple days ago, I receive another “final bill” stating my account now owes around £150. They have since emailed 3 times and texted demanding I pay, despite having a “pending” investigation into this. Despite not being with Eon next for around half a year and agreement my account is closed, they then fabricate false outstanding charges and demand you pay. Avoid the hassle and the stress, choose a better company.

Do not use this company. Ridiculous staff. they want to charge me from 2024.8-2025.3 for address A. However, I have moved out address A like 4 years ago. After I gave them my address B’s tenancy agreement, council tax and energy bill( Scottish power). I have told them that I am living in address B. Not living in address A, you should contact landlord rather than me. They just said to me that you can not prove you are not living in address A. lol and try to affect my credit score. I truly hope this company go bankrupt.

My account was well in credit then I received another email saying they were going to increase my direct debit by 100%. So I complained, not for the first time. They had only just ended a complaint in deadlock for the same thing. During that they had offered me £250 after months of waiting and at the time I was in hospital after undergoing a 6 hour operation. The next thing they have issued a deadlock letter, which was not received till 3 months later and in it reduced to offer to £120. With take it or go to the Ombudsman. Whist I was still trying to deal with their constant harassment I get the latest notice saying we’re going to increase your direct debit at the time it’s £700 in credit so why. Again they uphold my complaint and offer £30 upped to £50, they then close my complaint claiming because I had not accepted it had not cooperated with them. For 2.5 years I’ve had to deal with them and their harassment. I have never been in debt with them always been in credit. They even sent some creepy engineer to my door who claimed I had agreed to smart meters. The weirdo followed my wife into our home without invite. He only backed off when my brother in law challenged him. He left in an E.on van but they deny sending him. All this lot want is your money to run their business. Not a bad idea if you can pull it off. Take far more than people’s bill via a DD then keep their money and pay no interest. At one time I was £2000 in credit. Today the person whose attitude I have had to complain about again has intercepted my emails and stuck two fingers up to me blocking my complaint. E.on are a discussing company with no customer service. Their conduct makes me wonder if they are not in financial trouble so watch how much of your hard earned money they hold.
