I bought a voucher for my partner’s birthday for a private 3 hour pottery session and we had the best time! Lee is very friendly and knowledgeable, and helped us so much to go from complete novices, to slightly less novices! We learnt the coiling technique to make interestingly-shaped dishes; it was really relaxing and therapeutic! Next, we had a go at throwing. Lee is very patient and helpful in his instructions, allowing us time to try things out, but jumping in to help us when needed. And we managed to produce some bowls! (Albeit slightly rough around the edges) We then went back to decorate our coiling dishes, and Lee demonstrated to us a range of techniques to create different patterns and textures, and we loved having a go! We can’t wait to come back in a few weeks to glaze and decorate them some more. We both had fantastic fun in this session and will definitely be back again in the future. I would recommend The Potter Man Studio to anyone interested in pottery, at whatever level. Thanks Lee for a brilliant day!

I had a private class with Lee on Slip casting. He was incredibly friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Lee explained the process really well. He was incredibly passionate about making, which was great to see. I would definitely recommend, especially for beginners wanting to try ceramics!

We had a private Pottery session on Saturday 1 October 2022, a birthday gift from my 2 grown up daughters, who also attended. It was lovely to spend some creative time with them and I would recommend this as a great gift for all ages. Lee was very patient and we managed to create some unique pieces! The three hours just disappeared. I think we could have stayed all day, as the wheel was especially challenging (in a good way). Thank you Lee, it was a real creative experience.
