We attended the awards night lastnight at the Adelaide oval to see our son Jarred receive his certificate for completing his 4 year Roof Plumbing apprenticeship. He had several host employers throughout his 4 years and with the fantastic support of Shaun from TAPS, who was in weekly contact to see how Jarred was going, Jarred ended up with a brilliant work crew and boss of Altin Roofing. We finally met them lastnight and couldn’t be happier he is staying on to work with them. They have proven to be great role models and treat him as a family member. I would highly recommend TAPS and really thank Shaun for looking out for our Jarred, particularly when he spoke up about a bullying Host employer. Never be afraid to speak up because you think this is what it’s supposed to be like. Bullying is unacceptable. Thankfully this bullying Host employer has been banned from hiring apprentices with TAPS and hopefully others as well. Well done TAPS, forever grateful xx
