Great experience at this Postal Annex location! I was in and out quickly the staff were prompt, helpful, and efficient. It’s always refreshing to receive friendly, no-hassle service. I’ll definitely be returning for future needs.

I recently experienced a stark difference in shipping costs when sending a box to a customer in Illinois. The pricing at the Postal Annex was outrageously high, and after reviewing the charges, I realized it was nearly 35% more expensive than simply going to the United Postal Service (USPS). While I can appreciate the added convenience and services that Postal Annex offers to its clientele, such as packaging assistance and additional options, their pricing feels excessive for basic shipping needs. It’s disappointing to see such a huge markup, especially when the USPS provides a more affordable and equally reliable service for shipping. On several of my shipments, I asked to see what the least expensive option would be, every single one of them they stated that UPS ground was the least expensive and went on to tell me that USPS on some occasions was even a little bit more expensive for shipping for the same location/address, size and weight of box, and timetable. This is obviously and clearly not correct.

I can tell the owner cares about his business but his teenage staff is always so horrible to talk to. I asked for insurance on one of my boxes going to New Jersey today and when she handed me the receipt I asked her where the insurance was. She goes “oh guess I forgot” then charges me and hands me the receipt. Didn’t apologize. Didn’t say you’re all set have a good night. Nothing. It was such an awkward interaction the owner had to walk over and try to help me. I had two boxes shipped tonight and it was $70. Their prices are ridiculously high. Two light boxes under 2 lbs each. $70 with the insurance with one box…. And that was apparently the cheapest option!
