I have a clean record, no charges, no history of drugs, background squeaky clean and yet for some reason there’s no jobs available to me when I call super early but are available to the ones who need a quick fix and won’t represent the company in a positive light.
Not only that, the jobs I do work, I get paired with alcoholics who’ll take the tips for themselves without splitting them, racist individuals, and other “great examples” of society that just makes it difficult to some extent to do said job for that day.
Not to mention that when I do give rides, these are the same kind of people I do not want in my car but yet labor staff failed to mention to me when I have to head out to the job site after I told them multiple times those are the same kind of people I won’t give rides to.
I have an impressive resume and for some reason that when I say I need jobs that are 20 and above and they tell me “oh yeah there’s plenty available and when I inquire about it everyday, I get “there’s nothing available or it’s just not there” is highly infuriating and misleading.
I’m a super respectful person to talk to and yet I get this attitude given by the main individual who works there. On 2 occasions so far on my 2 and a half weeks being there, without legitimate reason to be spoken to the way I was, is completely humiliating because I’m not in a fortunate situation financially and it adds more salt to the wound.
If you’re working in a job where people are down and out and need help for work and you have to find them work but yet you talk to them the way you do, do you not think you do more damage? People need help and it’s uncalled for behavior to make it worse than it already is. But of course you have a guaranteed job right to come into everyday while this is placeholders until we find a real one?
This place does not hold up to its standards that it’s supposed to as well as the false hope they “provide” you when you walk in for work if there is any.
I know for a fact that I can do a way better job turning that place around than they could and I’m half their age.
