They could find labour very last minute which was great. I hired them for 2 days. I asked Fernanda to send me a receipt for the first day that I have paid, she replied with “only when I pay for the second day then they will give a receipt”.
I explained my account team is needs a formal receipt, Star had charged my credit card I need a receipt for it. Not an outrages ask. Instead of the formal remittance Fernanda gave me a screenshot of their internal bank transaction. Any corporate accounting team will not accept this. I had to explain that receipt for my payment should state: hours, rates and fee ect. But apparently this was difficult for Star.
We hired a team of 4 guys, 2 of which were great (I asked them to come back for the second day). The other 2 took excessive smoke breaks, a onger lunch where they didn’t return until I actually called to check if they were ok? They had to be micromanaged to achieve simple outcomes, and decided to stay for dinner at our office, which was odd.
Following this I gave Star constructive feedback that if we were to use them again in future we, like many large business, need a 30-day credit account, so they may need to consider these terms going forward, because it is challenging for our business to pay any other way.This caused Fernanda to become belligerent and defensive, using bold letters to highlight points to me. Then I received emails from Jay, Fernanda’s boss where I was called rude and ungrateful! I gave the company over $2000 in business and simply suggested that to continue our patronage we would need to negotiate payment terms? And somehow, I am the one who is ungrateful?
Just generally very difficult, unpleasant, and unprofessional interaction. Star Professional you need to do better.
