Absolutely terrible experience!
I was approached on LinkedIn by Source Connect about a job offer and had a phone call with Tony. Following this, I was invited to a Teams call with the company to discuss the role. Everything seemed fine initially, and I was offered an interview for the position.
This is where things went downhill. On the day of my interview, I had booked time off my current job to accommodate it, only to have the interview canceled 45 minutes before it was scheduled to begin. Tony asked me to call him, which I did, but he couldn’t explain why the interview was canceled. He said he would look into it and call me back. I never received that call.
I expressed to Tony that I had a very busy schedule and needed to know what was happening so I could plan accordingly. However, my messages were ignored for most of the afternoon. Eventually, at 3:15 PM, Tony replied, saying he’d call me at 4 PM. That call never came, and I never heard back.
The lack of communication was incredibly unprofessional, and frankly, Source Connect wasted my time. If they had simply informed me what was happening—whether they decided not to proceed with my application or had found another candidate—there would have been no issue. Instead, the entire experience was frustrating and disappointing.
