This is my favorite seafood spot—everything is incredibly fresh. The only downside is the wait, which can be over an hour because it’s so popular. It’s perfect for a casual date or a fun night out with friends. Bring a bottle of wine and be sure to order the Dungeness crab! Both the chilled and roasted versions are amazing. And don’t forget the grilled oysters—you can’t go wrong with either. This place is always my go-to when I’m in San Francisco!

While I’ve been to other Hog Island restaurants, this one is consistently my favorite. The oysters are outstanding; the ‘Hog Island Sweetwater’ is particularly sweet and rich. The geoduck is also very fresh and delicious, with the citrus sauce enhancing its flavor. Everything else is equally fresh, well-seasoned, and incredibly satisfying.
The only drawback is that this place is always very crowded, leading to somewhat cramped seating.

It’s been several years since I’ve eaten here. Came here on Sunday for lunch for a party of 3. I was anticipating a long wait, however, we were seated in 5 minutes.
The staff was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The oysters tasted super fresh. 10 oysters, french fries, a salad, and 3 entrees (we shared) was a good amount for 3 people. Looking forward to coming back again.
