Where to begin… At the start it was perfecty fine, untill they decided to try and get me to do a shift 1: I never agreed to, 2: I wasn’t even available that day. Yes they quickly changed their tone when they realised I wasn’t even available, but that didn’t stop them from trying the whole “we have no other drivers”.
I had to call in sick because It was literally coming out of both ends. Seams reasonable, can’t drive a wagon in that state, I text them on the Thursday telling them I can do the Friday shift, suddenly it’s cancelled. That’s fine I can live with that.
I then had a fall over the weekend so had to cancel the Monday shift, I’d rather not risk more injury especially when the back of the wagon is a freazer and the company doesn’t clean the backs out so their is ice buildup.
I then get a text saying Fridays shift was cancelled too (I was only booked in Monday and Friday), I thought ok I have a back injury they might be trying to help me. Oh how wrong was I.
I was removed off the Recruso worker app, when I asked them about this, the flat out lied to me and told me there is a problem with the app, (this was over text) .
When I called today, I was then told I had been removed because they can’t offer me work because I had cancelled a couple of shifts due to illness and injury, so does that mean they want their drivers to work when they’re ill or injured? They also said I contacted them last minute to tell them, no I told them 6 hours before one of them and at least 18 hours before the other one. I’m so sorry I couldn’t give you 5 business days notices that I was ill.
They then had the audacity to blame me for the client having to cancel a run because they was short of a driver. No that’s not my problem, that’s for you to sort out as a temporary driver agency, if you don’t have enought drivers then fair enough I understand that, but you can’t put that blame on the drivers.
Here is a thought, maybe instead of posting childish tiktoks (very very professional), maybe do your jobs and organise the drivers you have a little better, be more productive with your time. Instead of blaming drivers for your shortcomings.
I will also say I did get wound up on the phone to them but that is because they flat out lied to me and blamed me for their shoddy organisational skills.
On another note the wages was always correct and on-time.
P.s. if you drive for these word of advice if your fiancee uses your phone to text some make sure they text the correct person. My Mrs made that mistake and silver arrrow also used that as means to cancel a shift.
