To whom it may concern,
I am writing to bring to your attention an incident involving one of your drivers on December 16, 2024, at approximately 12:20 AM EST. in Mississauga Ontario.
The incident occurred while the driver was traveling westbound in the left lane on Courtneypark Dr. W. The driver was traveling at an estimated speed of 80-90 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. While doing so, they approached a vehicle in front at an unsafe following distance of approximately one second. The driver then executed a sudden lane change to the right without proper clearance, narrowly missing my vehicle, which was positioned alongside the rear of a GardaWorld armored truck.
At the traffic light at Courtneypark and Hurontario St., I addressed the driver regarding their unsafe driving behavior, mentioning that such conduct was reckless. The individual in question, an Asian male, dismissed my concerns and laughed in response, appearing to find the situation amusing.
After proceeding through the intersection, I attempted to take a photo of the vehicle’s unit number and license plate. However, the driver escalated the situation by engaging in road rage, repeatedly slamming their brakes to a complete stop, presumably to prevent me from capturing the vehicle’s details.
This behavior is unacceptable and poses a significant safety risk to the public. Speeding, tailgating at unsafe distances, making dangerous lane changes, and engaging in road rage by abruptly stopping are all highly unprofessional actions that reflect poorly on your company and jeopardize its reputation.
I hope your vehicles are equipped with GPS and dash cameras that can verify the driver’s speed, sudden movements (e.g., harsh cornering), and repeated brake applications after passing Hurontario St.
Thank you for addressing this matter promptly. I trust you will take the necessary steps to investigate this incident and ensure that such behavior is not repeated in the future.
Nevertheless, Mississauga Operations office is taking this very lightly and rudely drop the call when I was trying to address the issue.
Sincerely,
