I had a terrible experience with Sarah Harvey Recruitment.
I dealt with two different agents, Sarah Canning and Sue Home who both mishandled my job application.
Shortly after applying for the job, I emailed the recruiter, Sarah, to inform her that I was leaving the Country for a few days and would have not been in a position to discuss my application further.
Sarah ignored my message and made an appointment with their Client to interview me, without checking my availability first.
She then called and emailed me an embarrassing amount of times, in the order of about 10 phone calls and 6 emails. She even texted me and called me on Whatsapp, which I use for informal conversation only!
Her last time gave me a deadline to confirm my attendance to interview.
I only checked my inbox when I came back home and was shocked by the insistency of the recruiter.
When I complained about her approach, I asked to be put through to the Manager of their recruiting company.
The following day I received a phone call by someone, Sue Home, who strangely had the same voice as Sarah Canning and pretended to be the Manager.
Although my application had failed, the second agent convinced me to make another appointment with their Client but she put pressure on me to start working immediately.
I told her I needed a couples of weeks at least to relocate and find accommodation, because the job was in another town, but she did not seem to understand.
The following day, when I asked them to put off the interview by a few hours, they communicated to their Client that I was not able to confirm the meeting.
As a candidate, I think Sarah Harvey Recruitment wanted to get their hands to their commission, no matter what.
