The address/location has moved from 17 N. State St. to 125 W. Monroe. Service was great, was in & out within 30 minutes.

I went down in Oct ’22 as I had moved and needed to change my address on my ID and with the Secretary of State. Everything seemed to go pretty well, or so I thought…I never got my license sticker renewal form to renew last summer, ended up getting a ticket after it expired. I went to a currency exchange asap and bought one plus paid a penalty and paid the ticket. The currency exchange license plate sticker didn’t have the month, just the year, ’23. I asked about that and was told it just had the year because my the grace period expired. I was told that I wouldn’t get a ticket because they would see in the computer that it was still current. I am dog sitting for a friend and got a $60 ticket today. I went to a currency exchange and was told it would cost me $180 to get a license plate sticker that would expire in July ’24. The girl said the only way to overrule this would be to talk to the secretary of state’s office. She also told me they never updated my address even though I waited in both lines to take care of this in Oct’22. I have now been on hold for an hour. The dogs aren’t caged so I can’t go down in person as I was just going out to run a couple of errands, not expecting to deal with bureaucracy and all that which can be an all day affair. I did the right thing and reported my address change in both lines at the dmv, yet had to pay a penalty for a sticker that hasn’t expired yet but nobody knows that because the sticker itself just shows the year. Have paid one ticket, received another, and I am mad. Seems like a gimmick that the state and city and the currency exchanges are all in on.
