I was messaged by a recruiter here for an open position and gave out my information because I was interested. Me and the recruiter setup an interview time and when the time came I received no call. I messaged the recruiter back just to receive a message an hour later that the person who was supposed to interview me had a “family emergency.” This is completely fine I get it, but I received no word from the recruiter until I messaged her. She then asked me if I wanted to reschedule and I said yes as I was still interested. She then ghosted me for about a week and a half and I moved on. She then messaged me again a week and a half later asking if I still wanted that interview. I foolishly said yes and surprising I was called on time. The call went great and the man who interviewed me said I would be hearing something back tomorrow. I went back and thanked the recruiter and she messaged back saying that she heard it went great and she was going to call me back to schedule an in person interview. From that moment she never really got back with me even though I messaged her a couple times telling her I was looking forward to the interview in person. I was then ghosted for another week only to get a rejection email. Awful experience overall. If a candidate didn’t get the job just be straightforward with them. Complete waste of time in the midst of a nightmare job market.
