Inconsistent, and I even felt duped into attending the interview. I was reached out a month later after my application, which wasn’t particularly a concern to me in this case. I distinctly told the recruiter Dalis that I only wanted to work in a boutique during a call with her, and she said she wasn’t sure about the work environment setting and told me to ask it during the interview with the client instead. But during the interview with the client, I was informed that they’ve got informed the agency about the work settings, and that they are aware that it’s not a boutique. They should have reviewed the information properly, otherwise would have saved everyone’s timeーmine and theirs. The client just thanked me for the time and we just ended the interview since they already knew I wasn’t interested to work in any other settings apart from a boutique. The entire process felt rather unnecessary to me
Edit: Weeks after I had withdrawn my application during the interview with the client, the agency suddenly texted me about me not getting shortlisted. I don’t know what feedback she got from the client but to message me about me not getting the job when I told the client that I wasn’t interested in the role during the interview is so nonsensical. You can’t just brush this off as miscommunication. Seriously??? Telling a candidate who had withdrawn their application that they didn’t get shortlisted?
